Scientist, Author, Mentor, & Philosopher

Seventeen years of farm life taught me the basic values in life, common sense, and faith through my heart and soul. College knowledge provided the external credentials. My apprentice ‘science’ years were spent in the chemical industry, academia, and the medical world. My interest in toxicology took me from bench research to research executive to research
entrepreneur.

I have been president of two research and development testing companies, one of which I owned and operated for almost 25 years.

My scientific studies have included basic toxicology, carcinogenesis bioassay, cancer chemotherapy, teratology, reproduction, metabolism, inhalation, absorption, sensitization, periodontal bone regeneration, mutagenesis, vaccine development, and biomaterial evaluation amongst others. Many of my efforts were in the private sector although I am also published in various peer reviewed scientific journals.

My personal pursuits include mentoring, music, photography, and writing.

  • The greatest truth and the greatest insight from my high school years came from an American Indian belief. “All answers are known. The trick is finding the right question.”
  • Secrets to success – absolute faith in God above religion and having other excellent mentors.
  • Words by which I live: Ask God NOT for the strength equal to your dream, but rather ask for His dream equal to the strength He has already given you.
